WVU School of Journalism students gaining professional experience as part of summer program in China

This summer, a group of students from the West Virginia University P.I. Reed School of Journalism have stepped outside their comfort and time zone. Seventeen of the School's strategic communications students have traveled to China for a month-long learning experience that will forever change how they see their place in the world. The trip is part of a partnership between the School and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, China.

Journalism School alumnus astablishes career development fund at WVU

Thanks to the generosity of a West Virginia University P.I. Reed School of Journalism alumnus and his wife, more SOJ students will be able to gain valuable career experience through internships. John Walls, a 1978 SOJ graduate, and his wife Cindy have established the John and Cindy Walls Career Development Fund at the School of Journalism. This first-of-its-kind fund at the School will provide funding support for students working in high-level media internships in Washington, D.C.

WVU Reed College of Media begins 75th year with new name, facilities and curriculum

The newly named West Virginia University Reed College of Media (formerly the P.I. Reed School of Journalism) begins its 75th year on the WVU campus with a new name, upgraded facilities and new curriculum.
